BGI recruits and delivers:
  • marine personnel for employment on all types of cargo vessels
  • personnel to work on ferries, passenger and cruise vessels
  • office technical, commercial and management staff for the marine industry
  • on and offshore personnel for the energy and oil and gas industries

Starting in 1990, the recruitment of marine personnel is our core business and we have earned a strong reputation in the market. Working with many of the world's most prestigious ship owners and operators we provide stability and preferable working conditions to our seafarers.

Today BGI works with over 40 shipping companies who own or operate over 1100 vessels of all types including oil and chemical tankers, gas tankers, container carriers, passenger liners, multi-purpose vessels, bulk carriers and specialized ships used in the offshore industry.

Therefore, we are interested in seafarers with all types of experience for employment on these vessels. In return, we aim to provide long-term employment and career development for any seafarer who wants to realize their potential.

There is growing demand for personnel to work on ferries, cruising and passenger vessels. We work with leaders in the cruise industry who require marine specialists and personnel for hotel, catering and entertainment services.

Current clients include Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Phoenix Reisen, Disney Cruise Lines, Island Cruises and EasyCruise. All of these clients have different recruitment requirements and standards – excellent communication and language skills are of particular importance in this industry.

For some, we also have opportunities to work onboard private yachts (including the Lux class yachts).

Working ashore with a shipping company is a logical career step for accomplished Captains and Chief Engineers who can often move ashore to become fleet and technical superintendents.

BGI works with many clients who need to recruit shore-based technical staff in a variety of business areas including operations, technical consulting, ship building and commercial management.

The offshore oil and gas industry is dependent upon the specialized offshore vessels which support exploration and production. BGI now recruits specialist personnel for FPSOs, FSOs, supply vessels and AHTS.

The next step in this direction is the recruitment of shore and marine personnel for oil and gas industry projects in Sakhalin and the Caspian Sea. We are developing our business to provide all types engineering and project personnel for this industry.
